Special Accommodations

Appropriate arrangements can be provided to individuals who demonstrate a documented need. Test accommodations are individualized. The Open Group consider them on a case-by-case basis in partnership with your testing program. Test accommodations may also be known as “special arrangements” or “reasonable adjustments."

Accommodations may include:

  • Extra testing time
  • A separate testing room
  • Breaks

All candidates who are requesting test accommodations because of a disability must provide appropriate documentation of their condition and how it is expected to affect their ability to take the test under standard conditions. This may include additional supporting documentation from the professional who diagnosed the condition.

How do I request a test accommodation?

A request describing the need for test accommodations with appropriate documentation, and The Open Group candidate ID, should be submitted to The Open Group Help Desk (select category certification and accreditation).

What happens to my request for a test accommodation?

The Open Group will review, and when approved, will provide authorization to Pearson VUE and advise how to schedule your exam with the Accommodation Scheduling team.
